Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy

The goals of the Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy are to assist in preparing young girls for full participation as leaders in the 21st century. The Academy's curriculum incorporates the development of positive attitudes, effective problem-solving skills, confidence, and other skills/tools to help build a solid plan for the future. We also show participants the many opportunities open to them in the STEM career fields.

The program schedule includes workshops, hands-on activities, guest speakers, and active participation in the community.

The Williamsburg Alumnae Chapter Delta Academy program is open to girls between 11 - 14 and/or grades 6 – 8 in the Williamsburg, James City, York, Gloucester, and Mathews areas.
